Production Planning Administrator - Fixed term contract

Fixed Term Contract (12 months)

We’re looking for a Production Planning Administrator to join our team. The role will be focused on the final stages of the question paper production process, including quality control, liaising with print suppliers and planning stock. The successful candidate will show excellent attention to detail, experience of working towards deadlines and good communication skills.

Our Production and Logistics (P&L) department in Guildford consists of Secure Print (working with our printers to produce question papers in the final stages of question paper production) Print, Logistics (confidential and non-confidential dispatch of materials to exam centres and teachers) and Post Results (post-result services including enquiries, re-marking, discrepancies etc.)

What you will do
In this role you will also:

•Carry out quality control checks on exam papers
•Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders, including printers
•Collect data in order to predict and monitor materials needed
•Work on large amounts of data and work with numerous resources to enable decision making
•Collaborate as a key team player – working in a relatively small team sharing a best practise approach
•Look to develop and grow a continuous improvement approach – learning from experiences and making recommendation on lessons learnt

About you

We’re looking for someone with:

•Excellent attention to detail with an understanding of the accountability that comes with being the final approvers of exam papers
•A working knowledge of MS Office, including Excel
•Good communication skills including face to face, written and telephone communication
•Experience working to deadlines with good time management, planning and organisational skills
•A collaborative approach with excellent team work and an open and honest attitude
•The ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and external suppliers
