Assistant Chef - Fixed term contract

Fixed term contract until 31 December 2019

We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer focused Assistant Chef to join the Catering team at our on-site Bistro and Coffee House on a full time basis. You will be responsible for the production of hot food, sandwiches for general sale, display of packaged items and a full salad bar style service for diners in the newly created staff Bistro as well as hospitality for meeting rooms on site. Working with 3 other team members, further activities include the cleaning of work areas to Food Safety standards, stock control and ordering of ingredients as required.

This is an in-house role which is Monday – Friday only, with no split shifts.

In this role you’ll have:

•a passion for food and creativity
•previous experience in a similar role at a catering establishment offering breakfast and lunch hot options
•excellent communication and customer service skills
•strong organisation skills with the ability to work reactively in a small dynamic and flexible team
•a working knowledge of Food Safety & Hygiene standards
