AQA have a brand new exciting opportunity for a Transition Test and Pilots Project Manager to oversee the delivery of the internal transition programme known as ‘Project Nexus’, running end to end testing and non-live pilot activity.
What you will do:
•Ensuring all Nexus Transition test activities including user testing, non-live pilots and dress rehearsals are planned, resourced and delivered to time and quality.
•Managing dependencies, risks and issues in end to end, performance, stress and operational acceptance testing.
•Matrix Management of users testing and running non live pilots
•Working closely with the Head of Test and relevant programme delivery teams to refine existing test strategies and approaches to the Transition Test Plan.
•Develop, maintain and track the progress of the Transition Test Plan, ensuring milestones, activities, risks issues and dependencies are identified and communicated to key stakeholders and governance forums.
The Nexus programme itself is a major IT-enabled transformation programme to implement a new operational system that will be used by approximately 1500 employees and 35,000 external users, along with an external authentication product, and the design and delivery of an associated IT Support Model.
Key experience / expertise sought:
•Have excellent understanding of the typical IT-enabled transformation programme environment
•Be able to demonstrate experience delivering test and pilot activities across a range of software packages
•Significant experience of Key Stakeholder management both Internally and with external third parties
•Have experience matrix-managing complex teams in time-critical environments
•Have end to end testing experience
•Have experience of managing Non Functional Testing i.e. Performance Testing and Operational Acceptance Testing
