AQA, the UK’s largest provider of academic qualifications, has a vacancy for a Temporary Special Requirements Administrator with great administration and customer services skills.
We’re an educational charity and the leading provider of GCSE and A-level qualifications. We also offer a range of support services to teachers and students. Each year we work with around 30,000 examiners and moderators who help us to assess the work of students.
The Special Requirements Team is responsible for supporting disadvantaged students during their GCSE or A-level exams. In some circumstances special consideration may be applied to a student’s exams and the Special Requirements Administrator is responsible for liaising by phone or email with schools, students and parents about these issues. The circumstances can occasionally be distressing for those affected so it is really important that people applying for the role have an empathetic approach to work and are comfortable dealing with people in these circumstances. This is a really rewarding role with the opportunity to support individuals through challenging times in their lives and to really make a difference in easing the worry around the exam period.
