Fixed Term Contract - 24 months
We are recruiting a Deputy Head of Assessment Production to join our Qualifications and Markets (Q&M) team in overseeing and leading people through a period of increased production and significant change.
Q&M exists to develop and deliver world class specifications and assessments and to lead the market in the support we provide to customers and the Assessment Production team manages the end-to-end production of our assessment materials.
This role will support the Head of Assessment Production with:
•Actively helping to shape and support the introduction of new ways of working.
•Driving and embedding cultural change and improving people engagement.
•Ensuring the senior managers in the team have the required skills, opportunities and support to manage people effectively, to continuously improve and to drive improvements in performance.
•Ensuring our products are delivered to the highest quality, delivering target zero through the use of right-first time.
•Ensuring delivery in accordance with plans with an appropriate reporting, risk and issue management framework in place.
•Utilising the available range of digital tools for analysis, reporting and communication in order to work effectively and efficiently.
•Striving for, and delivering, continuous improvement and efficiencies.
We’re looking for someone with:
•Excellent communication and relationship building skills
•Significant coaching experience who will encourage a coaching mentality throughout the team
•Ability to work with conflicting priorities and to deadlines
•Understanding of operational processes and ability to lead, plan, implement and evaluate a range of activities
•Proven performance delivery and management focus – able to focus on own and team’s work towards delivering to time, cost and quality
•Proactive and reactive planning capabilities and experience of risk and issue management.
•Collaborative and influential approach to a wide range of internal stakeholders
•Experience of supporting a large cross-site team through a significant period of change and willingness to travel and work away from home for significant periods of time.
