Business Change Project Manager - Fixed Term Contract

We are recruiting a Business Change Project Manager to join our Change Function in overseeing the delivery of Change work-streams, including: the business transition for a major IT-enabled transformation programme to implement a new operational system that will be used by approximately 1500 employees and 35k external users; the design and delivery of an associated IT support model for the new operational system; and a cultural change programme.

The role of the Business Change Project Manager is to work with the Change team, Delivery teams, and leadership and management teams to ensure that all activities in the overall Change Plan are delivered to time and quality. To track and report project delivery and progress and to identify and manage dependencies, risks and issues.

About the role:

•Required to analyse complex situations and issues, and manage multiple inter-dependent change-related activities driven by different programmes and stakeholder requirements. Working in a matrix-managed environment with competing change needs and drivers.
•Project management experience using the Waterfall methodology, coordinating and managing time and priorities within a structured environment.
•Demonstrable success in influencing stakeholders to manage conflicting requirements, demands and priorities.
•Extensive experience of successfully leading teams undergoing substantial organisational change and building collaborative and high-performing teams through this change.
•Developing a critical path of key activities, providing planning support and identifying and managing dependencies across the plans.
•Prepare regular RAG status reports and other reporting mechanisms as required for various stakeholders using advanced reporting capabilities.
•Expert knowledge and understanding of implementing technical change in existing IT landscapes.
•Excellent communicator, able to engage internal colleagues, external partners and business stakeholders at all levels, ensuring clarity of requirements, the positioning of proposed solutions and securing the buy-in to the proposed solutions.
•Proven IT Change professional with demonstrable history at operating in a variety of roles throughout.
•Self-sufficient and dynamic individual who is able to hit the ground running.

Key experience / expertise sought:
•Excellent understanding and evidence of using change management methodologies.
•Experience of working on IT enabled transformation programmes on a large scale.
•Experience of delivering business change programmes and projects.
•Experience of involvement and delivering target operating model implementation programmes.
•Strong collaborative communicator with an analytical mind set and able to interpret and report back complex information in a meaningful way.
•Project management qualification in Prince 2 desirable if applied in a workplace environment.
•Degree level or equivalent experience desirable.
